but you’re not really here, it’s just the radio
For me today was all about the heavy fog turned sunshine, grilled cheese, Mission Street’s beautiful St. Patrick Church, and the Carpenters. Lunch at The Melt definitely made my day ten times better, but sixties and seventies tunes were the real key. As for my outfit, I was sort of going for an understated grunge feel. And I finally wore my cage necklace! That really made me feel accomplished.

On Black Friday iconic sneaker company Keds made its first foray into the clothing world with help from highly coveted label Opening Ceremony. The collection, which features thirty-five extremely wearable pieces, harkens back to the simplistic ’60s vibes of Jackie O’s time with a classic, preppy all-American feel. Sold exclusively at Opening Ceremony, tees in poppy colors are going for $40, while more structured garments like a cropped jacket retail for about $425.
The trousers, coats, and tops are understated and fun, just like the brand they represent. Though in its entirety the collection is overpriced, I’m fawning over the cream wool blazer ($395? COME ON!) and the printed sleeveless shell above. Paired with some Keds slip ons (once my favorite shoe) and some high-waisted shorts, these specific pieces could easily become surefire staples in my closet…
