post-gobble gobbling
Well all you amazing bloggers out there have made me feel incredibly inadequate for not posting since last Tuesday… Thanks a lot!
Just kidding. Honestly, I apologize for my abrupt silence these past few days. This weekend was all about indulgence, and after our Thanksgiving feast I was in dire need of a lazy spell. Luckily enough I found the energy to see My Week with Marilyn at the local indie theater on Saturday when my bestie Kali asked if I had any plans. After the movie we made our way over to Treehorn Books, a treasure trove of used, rare, and out of print titles, in downtown Santa Rosa.
My finds amounted to a Joan Didion classic, a guide to writing about death (my “Great American Novel” is a murder mystery), a fashion illustration book from the ‘90s, and a book dedicated to the cultural context of clothing. I’m incredibly pleased with my purchases (though I could have bought hundreds more!) and can’t wait to pore over them when winter break rolls around.
Anyway, I thought I’d share with you a shot of our table before the gobbling… Isn’t it festive? (I arranged the decorative parts). And in other news, the THREADshow post I promised you last week is coming soon… as in tomorrow. I swear on my life!
