one last hurrah
School starts once again on Monday, so I’ve been trying to take advantage of my precious time by seeing The Artist; hitting up Fillmore Street for some organic froyo from Fraîche and pretty paper purchases; and catching up with friends. Winter break was not long enough in my opinion, though I did find myself a bit uninspired. I read magazines and watched Friends reruns, but couldn’t find it in me to write a blog post or pick up a marker to sketch. Now that I’ve returned to the city, however, I have BIG plans to get Mode and the Like back on its feet (and better than ever!).
On another note, I wholly recommend The Artist to all old- (and new-) movie lovers. Its antiqued approach to the development of films (from silent to talkies) is far from outdated, and will keep you satisfied the whole way through with its ’20s sets, crisp and glittering costumes, and stylized scenes.
